I've referenced a lot of professional tracks and listened to their sidechaining method and their kicks and still don't know how my one doesn't work like the way theirs does. I have a really strong kick in my latest project I'm working on and still that same problem is happening. So I have tried to mess with the attack and release settings and for some reason I cannot fix this. It usually happens when the note on the melody hits right when the kick drum hits so for a ms before the kick pumps and compresses the melody sound it creates a sort of white noise clicking sound (That's my theory anyway). When I sidechain my kick and a melody, I notice a sort of clicking sound on the kick drum as it pumps. Hi, I have been making music a few years now and know a lot about music production and usually never have real problems but for some reason I have one and tried everywhere for posts already about this problem but couldn't find one so I'm starting my own.
